Been meaning to color this for a long time, but I could never do passable fur. Last night, I though to myself "
Hmm... whonder what would happen if I used a low-opacity dissolve brush, multiplied it on the base color, and smudged it...."
New layer, multiply, dissolve, smudge, new layer, multiply, dissolve, smudge...
This is the result after 7 passes. I know it's not the greatest for fur, but it's far better than anything I've done in the past. I love how it looks a bit clumpy in places.
Yes... copped out on the background too, but I wasn't at home when I did this, so didn't have access to gaming...
